San Agustinillo- Turtle Release & Great Sunset

These two pictures were taken on the same day. We did this on a place called "ventanilla" its like an eco-place. You gave kind of a tip (could be $.50) and they gave you a baby turtle then you put it on the sand and its amazing how instinct works, they knew they had to go to the water like something you have to do. Then we stayed there until the sun went completely down.

San Agustinillo series- Green allowed

Picture of the other part of the town. That is the beach where you can swim "safely". So what are you thinking about this serie of photos?

Leon´s Cathedral

This is Leon´s Cathedral. Its an impressive building, the design is a bit unknown and is not seen in a lot of famous cathedrals. It has a gotic design. This design gives a lot of detail to it as you can see on the picture of the top. The stone of what is made is made of kind of ash so little by little is getting damaged. On summer you can get great shots of this city (just as most of Europe). The picture that I uploaded yesterday is the big circle on the middle. That is what practically gives the whole illumination to the cathedral. The place where it stands is a very good place to sit and admire with tapa bars around. Near there is the Barrio Humedo which is also the place to go to dinner and leon´s nightlife.

San Agustinillo series: Illegal shark fishing

Illegal shark fishing, they cut their fins and then they throw everything else I heard that the Kg of fins costs $130 and most of them are sent to Japan

Place of the week: Leon, Spain

I'm starting with this section in which ill try to introduce you a place that is not very known like capitals or places with important landmarks. Well this week is going to be Leon that is on northern Spain. This city is where most part of my Spanish family come from. Its a small city with a population of no more than 140,000 inhabitants. When I go with my friends there and I tell them that I live in a city of 3,000,000 people they really get freaked out they just cant believe it. The province is called Castilla and Leon and well obviously the capital city is Leon. As main landmarks there is the cathedral that is a truly work of art. For surprise of some people there is a building that is called "casa de los botones" house of buttons in english. That building was designed by Gaudi the same architect that designed the "sagrada familia" in Barcelona. Ill upload some pictures of the landmarks, most of them will be taken by me. Its a great city to explore. Ill also talk about the region, most people in Leon come from smaller villages so every holiday (except for winter because of the snow) the city goes empty. In the summer there is a great weather and party. Hope you enjoy this section and also any comments will be accepted.

San Agustnillos- Sunset #1

Great sunset on the first day I was there. I took more pictures of sunsets that ill upload other days. The palm gives a sensation of being on paradise. Hope you are liking the serie.Any question you have about San Agustnillo dont hesitate to ask.

Clipperton Island

I just read a book called "isle of pasion" written by Laura Restrepo, the book is about 12 families are sent by the mexican government to this island. they are there to mantain it as mexican territory, french wanted it. they arrive there around 1906 with the promise that every 2 months a mexican ship will be arriving with every kind of supplies. The ships start to come every 9 months and then in 1911 they are forgotten when Porfirio Diaz quits as mexican president and with the start of the mexican revolution. Its a great story and it really happened. There are not many pictures of it and there are only 13 palms nothing else. A real dessert island. Now the island is French territory so it didnt helped that much. I recommend this book strongly. If you want to know more information about this island look it up as "Clipperton island". Its not a paradise because you dont really have anything like fruits the only thing they ate was bobo birds and crabs (raw sometimes). When you see the pictures you can see that its just a small fraction of land.

Ridiculous travel fees

I can remember how just 5 years ago we had no fees and low cost airlines were just starting to be a trend. Now its all changing for bad. I really dont know where this is going to. If everytime we fly we have to pay for something new we will end up paying for standing up to talk or something of that kind. Airlines should start thinking about getting their costumers happy and maybe try to return a bit of respect that the world of commercial aviation has lost, because at least considering charging going to the bathroom is ridiculous its like charging for water. At least in Mexico airlines do not charge for anything on the plane, just Aeromexico is charging $10 for the second piece of luggage. I know that in a year or two it will be like n the US. What do you think about this? pleas leave a comment

Airplane pic of the day: Condensation line
